Meet Jaimee Hegge - Your Pelvic Health Therapist Serving Connecticut
My story with pelvic floor issues began unexpectedly, catching me off guard during a time when I felt the least prepared. After an unexpected c-section during the birth of my first child, I started experiencing discomfort and noticed changes in my pelvic region that I couldn't ignore. What began as occasional discomfort soon escalated into persistent pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and challenges with intimacy.
Navigating these issues was not easy. It took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, from frustration and embarrassment to uncertainty and fear. I felt lost, struggling to find answers and support in a world where pelvic health issues were often overlooked or stigmatized.
Through this journey, I discovered the power of pelvic floor therapy and holistic approaches to pelvic health. With the guidance of skilled healthcare professionals and the support of a compassionate community, I learned how to strengthen my pelvic floor, manage symptoms, and cultivate a deeper connection with my body.
As an occupational therapist specializing in pelvic floor issues, I am committed to providing compassionate care, education, and support to women navigating their own challenges. Together, we can embark on a journey towards healing, empowerment, and a renewed zest for life.
I invite you to join me on this journey, where we embrace vulnerability, celebrate progress, and cultivate resilience in pursuit of pelvic health and well-being.
Let's embark on this path together, one step at a time.
